Mandarin Dim Sum Vocabulary

It may seem silly, but I am more comfortable speaking Mandarin, even at dim sum.

饺子, jiǎo zi, dumplings
    虾饺, xiā jiǎo, shrimp dumplings
    潮州粉果, cháo zhōu fěn guǒ, Chaozhou style dumplings in a rice wrapper
    锅贴, guō tiē, pot stickers
    烧卖/烧麦, shāo mài, steamed dumplings in a thin wheat wrapper
    咸水饺, xián shǔi jiǎo, deep-fried rice dumplings with pork and cabbage
    灌汤饺, guàn tāng jiǎo, dumpling soup
包子, bāo zi, steamed buns
    叉烧包, chā shāo bāo, barbecued pork inside
    上海小龙包, shàng hǎi xiǎo lóng bāo, pork or seafood with broth inside
    馒头, mán tou, plain steamed buns
凤爪, fèng zhǎo, chicken feet
    白云凤爪, bái yún fèng zhǎo, plain steamed chicken feet
